A friend of mine (KNOWN_USER@hotmail.com) has been receiving disquieting messages via email. The sender's name is
STRANGER@hotmail.com. The friend received the below quoted error message with a notation "Final-Recipient:rfc822;SOME_USER@indo/govus.com"
I am trying to decipher what an error message is telling me. I especially want to know what (if any) relationship there is between
STRANGER@hotmail.com and SOME_USER@indo/govus.com
Here's what I know from googleing and other online research:
The error message is similar to that of a sendmail server.
STRANGER@hotmail.com is a valid user account. indo/govus.com is not a valid domain and there is no mail server record for govus.com
