Sendmail Aliases: forward mail to script

I added this line to /etc/aliases "user1: | /home/mike/"
then I run newaliases command and restarted sendmail.

When I send the email to the email address I receive Mail Delivery Subsystem

The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
| /home/mike/process/
(reason: Service unavailable)

----- Transcript of session follows -----
smrsh: "" not available for sendmail programs (stat failed)
554 5.0.0 Service unavailable

Looks like either the sendmail can't run it due to permissions (sendmail user) or file attributes (is it +x?)

Complete instructions on how to fix this

Looks like you need to add the following symbolic link for sendmail to php so that sendmail can run php during runtime
ln -s /usr/bin/php /etc/smrsh/php

Also, ensure your permissions are 100%. The script should 755 permissions.
