Segmentation fault

In a lab, I have done this:
rpm -e --nodeps python

And then do this:
rpm -i --nodeps python

Then every time I want to install rpm packages, it return this:
Segmentation fault

Then I do this to try to rebuild db:
rpm --rebuilddb

It seems fine, because it didn't return any error messages.
But now, the problem sitll be here.
When I try to install some package, it will return some dependecies. the error messages said I have not install these packages:
filesystem
basesystem
glibc
.................

But you know, it's impossible. Because those packages should be very base installed packeages. And my system is RH 8.0 . It worked fine during half a year before. So I guess when I un-install the python package, it did crash some symbolinks. And now, the tool : rpm has crashed indeed.

I have tried to go to linux rescue mode to run :
fsck

Or try to re-install python and glibc in rescue mode , but surely with no luck.
