Hello,
Back again today
While compiling doomsday [Doom] I have received this error message.
Code:
checking dependency style of gcc... (cached) gcc
checking for sdl-config... /usr/bin/sdl-config
checking for SDL - version >= 1.2.0... no
*** Could not run SDL test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means SDL was incorrectly installed
*** or that you have moved SDL since it was installed. In the latter case, you
*** may want to edit the sdl-config script: /usr/bin/sdl-config
configure: error: *** SDL version 1.2.0 not found!
bash-2.05a$
Here is the more 'detailed' error from the config.log file
Code:
configure:19713: checking dependency style of gcc
configure:19796: result: gcc
configure:19863: checking for sdl-config
configure:19881: found /usr/bin/sdl-config
configure:19894: result: /usr/bin/sdl-config

configure:19992: gcc -o conftest -Wunused-variable -Wunused-function -g -O2 -I/usr/include/SDL -D_REENTRANT conftest.c -L/usr/lib -Wl,-rpath,/usr/lib -lSDL -lpthread >&5
cc1: Invalid option `-Wunused-variable'
cc1: Invalid option `-Wunused-function'
configure:19995: $? = 1
configure: program exited with status 1
configure: failed program was:
| /* confdefs.h. */
I installed the SDL package from here
http://www.slackware.org/pb/searchpk...8.1&string=SDL
using the pkgtool in slackware.
Could I ask for a translation of what cc1 and wunused variable/function point to?
I'm not sure what direction to look in.
