SASL-AUTH Postfix Mandrake 9.1

I'm trying to setup SASL-AUTH to work with postfix. I have changed main.cf in postfix to reflect the mandrake document: www.mandrakesecure.net/en/docs/postfix-sasl.php. The problem I am having, I believe comes from, 'saslauthd' not recognising that I have the 'sasldb' rpm package installed. When I type in 'saslauthd -v', it only shows, "getpwent kerberos5 pam rimap shadow ldap" as my choices. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the sasldb plugin package a couple of times, and it does not add the sasldb authentication method to the list of supported methods.

What else should I try?

Has anyone else done this with Mandrake Linux 9.1?
