Would like to get CourierImap, Sasl and ProFTPd to auth from MySql

Hello,

I would really like to one and for all solve all my virtual-auth problems. I have CourierImap working and authenticating agsint a MySql database jsut fine.

What I would like to do is get CourierImap + Sasl2 (smtp auth for postfix) and ProFTPd to use one MySql table for al their authentcation. The problem as I see it in my limited undertanding is that CourierImap uses Cram-MD5 passwords (which i used grub-md5-crypt) to generate, ProFTPd uses Digest-MD5 and I'm not even sure what Sasl2 uses as I think it connectes through pam_mysql.

Is there possible some comon ground that I may find? Cause if not I'm goign to have alot of redundant data.

Ideas would be much appreciated.
Thank you
