Samba PDC Question

Can I use Samba as a PDC such that I have XP and 2000 clients utilizing roaming profiles that are stored on the Samba server itself?

Short answer is yes

but you must setup the profile share similar to the following example or it wont work

[Profiles]
        path = /path/to/profiles   
        profile acls = Yes    # without this users wont be able to login
        writeable = yes

I have this in my smb.conf and my users are able to login.

    path = /home/profiles
    browseable = no
    writable = yes
    create mask = 0600
    directory mask = 0700

What does the "profile acls = Yes" line do?
