samba can't find .ldaprc
Hello,
I have a strange but funny problem :
I installed, configured and tested a Samba PDC (3.0.14a) which uses OpenLDAP (2.2.29) and TLS (port 389) for secure connections. I use smbldap-tools (0.9.1) to manage users/groups, etc. My distribution is Fedora Core 4 (updated with YUM).
I have a file '/root/.ldaprc' which contains TLS_CERT and TLS_KEY references to my certificate and key.
When I do a '/etc/init.d/smb restart' samba starts and works perfect.
When I do a 'service smb restart' samba complains (20 times) about not being able to startTLS (connect error).
When I restart my computer, starting samba gives the same problem.
When I delete the /root/.ldaprc file '/etc/init.d/smb restart' gives the same errors.
I guess 'service smb restart' doesn't know how to find my /root/.ldaprc file.
I tried copying it to /root/ldaprc, /etc/ldaprc, /etc/init.d/ldaprc and /sbin. Without success.
Does anybody know how to solve this, it's very frustrating.
Thanks and greetings,
Tim.
