Running Pixel Image editor
The Pixel Image editor can be found at http://www.kanzelsberger.com/pixel/?page_id=12. I installed it in Ubuntu 7.04 but it gives me no menue. How do I run the Pixel Image editor?

Warning!!!
Out of curiousity, I downloaded this and tried to install it. Extracting the archive creates one executable file named "installpixel32".
Running this file caused my screen to blank and I lost all control--I could not get to terminal with ctrl-alt-F1, and I could not restart with ctrl-alt-del.
The hard disk was working away on **something**. Not knowing if my system was being wiped out, I simply did a hard shutdown and re-started.
It appears that nothing was damaged, but I may not know for a while. Meanwhile I would caution anyone from using this SW.
Does anyone have a similar experience--or maybe something that tells me this was normal behavior?

No, I'm sorry to say, but I've tried Pixel on different Slackwares and there has been no trouble.
I didn't really use it intensively, because I didn't like it, so I can't report any pro/contra while under heavy usage.
But it started and I clicked some stuff around.

I downloaded a .tar.gz file---when I extracted it, I got only the install script---never saw a .deb file.
I am not sure if SW installs always get menu entries automatically. Have you searched in /usr for the executable?
