RPM relocation error

It seems that due to an update or something, the rpm software does not work correctly anymore. I downloaded the Wine emulator and I tried to install it using the following command:

# rpm -i wine-20030813-1rh9winehq.i686.rpm

However, the following error message is printed:

rpm: relocation error: /usr/lib/librpmdb-4.2.so: undefined symbol: tion

Any idea how I could fix this error?

Regards Sami Maisniemi

Hi,

I tried to find more information from Ximian and Red Hat pages, but no actual hits. In case of the hit of Google, I could not find anything that would be related to 'popt' libraries. I try configuration tools, but I have to mention that I do not expect a solution. Any other suggestions?

Regards Sami
