relocation error: xxxxx: undefined error:

Running in a terminal as root, what do these error messages mean?

1. audacity: relocation error: audacity: undefined error: _ZN7wxPanel13sm_eventTableE

2. scribus: relocation error: scribus: undefined error: _ZTI10QTableItem

and can anyone tell me how do you fix them?

What are you specifically doing when getting these errors, running a program, any particular command, etc.. ??

Hi trickykid

I enter the command "audacity" or "scribus" in terminal mode, to run the relevant program. I do it as root so that there are no permissions problems.
