Root Password Prompt Greyed Out !!!

I am trying to install RH9. When it comes to "enter the root (administrator) password for the system" it won't let me enter anything, both "Root Password" and "Confirm Password" are greyed out, so is the "Next" button. What's next ?
thanks

If you haven't already, I suggest reinstalling again. Make sure to reformat the drive that you are installing to and if that doesn't work, I would try different installation media.
