Don't know where this issue should go but though it was more to do with software.
The issue I am having is that I tried to install Realtek Linux AudioPack 5.15. Once it got installed my soundcard was no longer detected in System > Preferences > Sound.
The reason I was trying to install Realtek was due to not being able to get sound working in Wine. But now that I have installed it I'm not getting sound on the desktop and in wine.
What I would like to know is how I can revert to the default drivers? Thank you in advance.
I would look for a recently edited blacklist file in /etc/modules.d or modprobe.d and remove the newly added entry, then uninstall the realtek package. Your sound was probably mis-configured for wine, not broken by the driver.
