Resized image quality in Firefox

Fairly simple question: When Firefox resizes an image to fit it on the screen, it doesn't give you a very high-quality image resize. Is there any way of improving it?

I'd be interested if there is, I've turned it off because of the poor resize. I'd use it if the quality didn't suffer.
