RedHat 8.0 and KPPP

Hello. I'm currently running RedHat 8.0 on one of my computer systems and am attempting to use KPPP. I've managed to get it running properly, except for one little thing.

In KDE, I prefer to have KPPP dock to the Kicker's system tray. So, I set up KPPP to do this. Unfortunately, in RedHat 8, this doesn't work. KPPP connects to the Internet and closes its main window (like it's supposed to), but no icon shows up in the Kicker's system tray applet. I know the applet is running because I can see the Klipper icon, just no KPPP icon. Is this a result of RedHats "special" modifications to KDE (right now I'm leaning towards this as the Logout applet is removed after logging back in no matter how many times I tell it to add it to the Kicker).

Does anyone know what I can do to get KPPP to dock correctly? I'd really appreciate any help with this.

Thanks in advance.

You mean, instead of the Bluecurve theme?

yea, see if it works with one of the others. Maybe it's a bug in bluecurve.

Not trying to be a bb cop or anything but when you put your question on a thread originally posted by someone else it gets lost. Most of us that use this board,go through all the forums looking for threads that have "0" replies first . Your question got 'buried' in this thread and also it gets very confusing after a while.
If you'd start your own thread (Linux-newbie would be a good forum) and give us the type of modem your using we'll get you up and running ASAP.
