Reconfiguring PHP With unixODBC

My php5 was installed by dpkg through the Adept installer on Kubuntu. I need to rebuild it to use unixODBC. Can that be done through the dpkg or similar mechanism, or do I have to rebuild php5 from source and then overlay on the installed php5?

there is an odbc driver available but i dont know whether this is the one you want
sudo apt-get install php5-odbc

you can try that or read some docs of ubuntu.

apt-cache search SOMEPACK

is a helpful tool if you search for SOMEPACKAGE
