Trying not to double post and did search on Google but I haven't fixed this yet. Made sure the pk file is in my home directorya nd now I'm stumped since most of the stuff i found on Google mainly dealt w/ fixing the nVidia drivers. Installed Quake off of my Loki CD as the README instructed and now I get this error
[root@PlanetExpress baseq3]# quake3

i'm pretty sure it's recomended not to run the game as root.
after installing q3a, the main files (.pk3) are located inthe /usr/local/games/quake3 directory.
the only files in my home diectorys are config files etc....
do you have a quake3 cd ? also some of the main pak files need to be extgracted from cd,,. i was able to copy these from a windows install.
