Quake3 Arena Rocks!!! Q3TA??

I just installed quake3 on my linux box and it is awesome!! I played for an hour or two and was just amazed at how nice it played. I know it's an old game, but c'mon - we've all played tux racer, right? I was afraid it was going to turn out like that.

anyway, I'm wondering if there's a way to install Quake3 Team Arena without uninstalling Q3A. for some reason I just installed Q3A and not Q3TA. well...I guess I was skeptical.

also, where can I find a list of games that have linux installers? this may have opened an entire new world to me.

You should be able to copy the files from Q3TA into the existing Q3A folder. Mainly the BaseQ3 and such. You may not have the main screen but the rest of the files should work.

Well, hornbeck is right. After all Q3TA is nothing but a Q3 mod. But game installers...hmmmm.. I've tried somes, but I ratter prefer WineX:

I figured it out. All I had to do was copy 'pak0.pk3' from the CD to the missionpack folder on my HDD.

thanks for your help.
