Qmail+Openldap

i have configured a qmail as what www.qmailrocks.org mentioned. Also, i have configured a OpenLDAP server.

now my question is that how can i make my qmail authentication based on ldap?
i have came across some documentation on qmail+ldap. e.g. http://www.nrg4u.com/qmail/QLDAPINSTALL
and

but, i am not understanding it. do i need to patch qmail for ldap? or configure vpopmail for ldap authentication? i am confusing. pls help.

IIRC you should be looking into your vpopmail setup, as it handles authentication for your virtual users (as passed on by courier). Check the build options for vpopmail ('./configure --help' in the vpopmail source directory).
