Program to launch SSH applications

Hi,

I'm creating a LiveCD for some Linux-illiterate people. I need an icon on the GNOME desktop to launch an X11 application over ssh. The problem is that I need to input the username and password for the SSH connection as well (several people will use this). SSH Keys are not an option either.

A co-worker tells me that there are programs that do the above. Does anyone know of any? If I can't find one then I guess I'll write a simple one...

Don't have time to get into details but you can define host that allow connection to ssh server so no password or passphrase is needed. Here is a start. http://linuxgazette.net/issue21/sshmake.html
