proftpd fail

I am trying to run an ftp site using proftp and after everything has done.
I trying to start proftpd using this command " service proftpd start "
I get this error message saying.
" starting proftpd: -fatal scoreboardpath: deprecated. use' scoreboardfile/path/to/scoreboard/file' instead

I use the server as a standalone
sincerely yours, clint

Sounds to me like you're using a directive that is depreciated.

Open your config file and look for the use of "scoreboardpath" and try changing it to "scoreboardfile" instead and see if that works. If not, post your config file here.
