processes keep going after finished?

Hey everyone,

I use KDE 3.2 on a fast system (2.8c), but have hit a bit of a snag. It seems that some programs i have don't seem to stop themselves properly or something. For example, i use desk3d (http://desk3d.sourceforge.net/) for virtual desktop switching, but each time i hiit ctrl-d (my hotkey for it), switch my desktop, and chose it, the process keeps running with a jumpy hourglass in my tasktray for about 20 seconds. The same thing happens with this mozilla start script: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...81#post803181.

anyone know any way to fix this? It's pretty annoying.

Thanks,
-fibbi

Maybe Ctrl-D isn't such a great idea for your
hotkey?

By default that terminates a process ...

Cheers,
Tink

fixed. Answer was to disable launch feedback in the kdemenu.
