problems with sound card in Aurox 10.1

I've got Aurox 10.1 and I'd like my sound card get to working.
Sound card detection works without a hitch, (there is single beep in
loudspeakers during sound card test). Xmms plays songs, (progress
bar is moving forward) but there is no sound!!!.
I tried different settings in mixer but without success.
Is this the issue with ALSA driver?. Do I have to configure it somehow?. Or the problem is with mixer?. Have you ever run into such

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
