Problems with Firefox for all users execpt Root

On user Root I upgraded to Firefox 3.04. I start Firefox on Root and up comes 3.04.

When another users log in they gets Firefix 1.5, the old version.

I did the upgrade on Root from Firefox and it said it created the new version...no errors

What and how can I resolve this problem so all users get the new version of Firefox?

Thanks.

Centos 5.2 using KDE

Sorry forgot to add this...thought it might help:

[root@centos5 ~]# find / -name firefox -print
/usr/lib/firefox-3/firefox
/usr/lib/firefox-1.5.0.12/firefox
/usr/bin/firefox
/root/.mozilla/firefox
/home/rifkinpa/.mozilla/firefox
/home/franciru/.mozilla/firefox
/home/rifkinda/.mozilla/firefox
/home/pechter/.mozilla/firefox
/home/rifkinho/Desktop/Home Folder/.mozilla/firefox
/home/rifkinho/.mozilla/firefox
[root@centos5 ~]#

I suspect that as you upgraded as user root that the associations for users weren't made - basically, root's shortcut points to the update, the user shortcuts don't. You have two ways to do this: manually track down the links to Firefox that the users use and repoint them or log in as a user and update again so the links are made.

Or maybe just make /usr/bin/firefox a symlink to /usr/lib/firefox-3/firefox
