When I try to install mandrake 10 I get an error saying "cdrom can't be found" and asks for drivers for them on a floppy. Since I don't have thoseI hit cancel and it pulls up a big list of "default" standard drivers. Tried first few and none work. Tried disk in both CD rom drives but to no avail. (LG DVD writer and Lite On CD Writer) I've used these same disks before on another machine and the install went perfectly so its not a bad disk. Any ideas?

Oh yea, also while I'm posting. I thought I'd ask another quick question. How do I get linux to read NTFS partitions? I want to be able to listen to my mp3s from another hard drive.

Your cdrom must be one of the ones that affected by the install. Basically the firmware is corrupted by Mandrake's new type of install.

I suggest you visit the Mandrake site and search thier forum for the fix.
