Problem with Wine programs

Tried to install Evernote with wine there, and got this error:

My system didn't like that. So I killed the process...

I tried installing a different programme and it's working fine with no errors- wait it has frozen too.

Hmmm. I might try purging wine and reinstalling. But why is this happening?

In the package resources for my own distribution I find at least one of the two packages that your error-message mentions: winbind.
I do not appear to need them, but Ubuntu is different. Maybe you should just install them.
