Problem with mplayer full screen in Redhat 9

I have everything pretty much working (1152x864 screen size,in 17’ SyncMaster monitor with 32 MB Ram Riva TNT 2 module 64 card etc.), except when I play video files, they are not played full screen. Instead, they are played in a small window that is centered in the middle of the TV screen. What is the problem behind this?
i'm using mplayer "mplayer-0.90-fr2.i386" for which supports for redhat 9
Please help me to correct this
Email me dlakshan99@hotmail.com with the solutions
or email me the solution where u place in linuxquestions.org

Thanks

I moved the thread to Linux - Software as it's a question, not an introduction. It has a better chance to be answered here.

Which player do you use? There are two or three installed with RH, I suppose. In every one there should be an icon making it full screen but it's hard to tell you where it is when we don't know which program you use to play it.

and don't expect replies via email... what's the point of a forum if you don't give replies there too?

either way, you're using the x11 video output without using the -zoom ,option. either use zoom, or preferably swithc to using -vo xv instead.
