What version of nas are you running? If you are using a newer version (1.6d or better) try running nas with '-v -d 99' and see if you get better information (maybe in your syslog file).

[B]Was the installation of the modem successfull? Did you make clean?
No, actually I was installing the modem and had to reboot my PC. When rebooting this modprobe problem suddenly occured. So I guess the modem was not successfully installed.
I didn't do make clean to install the modem. I just download some rpm's and some scripts that I have executed.
But what is nas and what is the relation with the modem?
I had no idea what nas was but didn't want to leave you hanging on your problem so I attempted to help. From what I've read, it is sound driver. It should not have any relation to the modem unless they are sharing modules in which case the errors you have listed occur.
OK. And would you have any idea on how to solve this problem? The problem is that now I am stuck during the boot because of this modprobe problem? I have thousands of messages appearing and after 1 hour lost my patience...
I tried to add nohotplug at the end of the second line but this doesn't give any difference (still stuck during booting with modprobe). Replacing the third line by 'noinitrd ro nohotplug' gives 'Error 27: unrecognized command'
Hm... nohotplug should work.... That means that P&P won't work (plug and play) when that is applied. Then just try "nohotplug." You're not doing anything wrong. Maybe it doesn't use noinitrd, heh.
