Problem installing firefox on xandros

I am a second time new comer to Linux. I have recently installed Xandros 2.o on my notebook. I downloaded Fierfox 1.0 and tried to install. All seems to go well except in the end it opens up a console and the following message appears.

xlib: connection to " 1.0 refused by server"
xlib: XDM authorization key matches an existing client!
(firefox-bin:1588): Gtk- WARNING xx:
cannot open display

I have been able to connect to my wireless router and open the Opera browser successfully though.
Can anyone help solve this?

I had the same trouble a little time ago.

Simply open a console (Alt+F2 --> Type "konsole")
Then type

Code:

xhost +

and then start firefox. (on my system it's in /usr/bin/firefox).

After it's started up, close it and type

Code:

xhost -

in your console.

The next time, firefox should start up without any trouble.
