Postfix mailserver doesn't want to start!

I have RedHat9 installed with postfix mailserver. I noticed today that my system is restarted during the night (perhaps because the power). Everything is OK exept postfix mailserver. I can't start it. If I type the command "service postfix start" the system get mi "[FAILED]".
Can somebody tell mi what can be the problem?

There should be more info about why it failed to start in /var/log/messages or /var/log/maillog, have a look there and then post the error.

In /var/log/messages:
"Sep 25 08:42:18 ns1 postfix: failed"
ns1 is my hostname.

In /var/log/maillog:
Sep 25 08:42:48 ns1 postfix/postsuper[4974]: fatal: scan_dir_push: open directory deferred/A/4: Input/output error

Sep 25 08:42:49 ns1 postfix/postfix-script: fatal: Postfix integrity check failed!

Please help!
