Question Possible to set Letter 'o' as hotkey to open Liferea links in External Browser?

Hi.

I like the Liferea feed aggregator.

However one big downside vs QuiteRSS is that there's no option to set a hotkey such as the letter 'o' as in orange to open links in an external web browser (Firefox).

There is this file ( ~/.config/liferea/accels ) but nothing seems to take effect.

Is there a workaround/fix?

Thanks.

Hi...

This isn't my area of expertise "in the trade" nor have I ever used a news aggregator but if it helps (although it's from 2006 and written with GNOME in mind,) I did find this article. Also, in case you don't get any other responses, there is the option of contacting Liferea support. Take a look inside the box that says "Support" here.

Regards...

Unhappy

Hi Ardvark.

I recall trying that blog method a while back - it still does nothing. It's such as shame as Liferea is great otherwise.

I tried the IRC but got tired of awaiting for a response.

Hmmm, apart from trying again a few times, I wonder if using the mailing lists (the second option in the "Support" box) or filing a bug might help?

Regards...

Nah, I've not much interest in creating a github account just to make a single bug report. I may just stick with QuiteRSS instead.

Gotcha. I hope you're able to get working the way you'd like it somehow.

Regards...
