PLEASE copy&paste your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file IF you use Intel 965GM &.

use kde4 or compiz and have no problems. Thanks for the help. I need to compare it to my file.

Are you having a problem with a blank space at the right side of your screen?

No, my toolbar clock & newsticker

show up as flickering while my screensaver is running. Also, when I use Google earth, the screen cannot stay together. I see google earth, then every few secs, the screen has square sections that flicker on and off...very annoying. Everything worked just fine w/o KDE4 or Compiz.

There's a bunch of extra stuff in here, but it's because I have this weird blank space on the right side of my screen if my xorg.conf doesn't have all of this info in it:
Code:
# xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following command:
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
