That's the idea behind it, yes. But still: you need to trust SUSE (or packman or any other source) that they offer you good software. And here we are back at the beginning: Can you trust packman? I say yes, but can you trust me?

Okay, I understand now. I guess I just find it odd after coming from windows, as in windows you would really be looking for trouble if you downloaded software from an unofficial site.
