Photoshop on Linux via Wine

Has anyone here had experience with this? If so how is it done? Does Wine somehow allow Photoshop to "see" it's serial number even though the software is run on an operating system other than Windows?
Thanks,
Sync

Don't quite get this part of the question...

A while ago I've installed Photoshop CS2 on my FC6, and noticed that some mandatory functions don't seem to work (like dragging some selections across the workspace).... But then again, my Photoshop experience is very limited so I wouldn't know if there was another way to accomplish something like an action I've mentioned.

Photoshop installed fine on my machine... Wine has improved since then, no doubt about it, but I couldn't tell You how it works now with PS. Why don't You try it out Yourself...

Another thing, try Crossover Office... I think Photoshop works with it just fine...

Photoshop on Linux via Wine

I mean the number, serial, registration, or whatever Adobe calls it, required when installing PS. Does the emulator see the photoshop already installed in Windows or does it have to be installed with the emulator? I was thinking there might be some conflict. I'm pretty good at Photoshop but green as the Emerald Isle with Linux.
Anyway, thanks to all for the advice.

It has to be installed with Wine and the serial number entered just like a normal windows install. Wine has it's own fake registry which PS will read to check the serial.
