perl Term::Pager on linux and windows does not work

I have a perl app and it uses Term::Pager to display some info and handles key events (scrolling, select a line, search...).
My problem is that this module cannot handle the key events on Windows, either it drops this message: GetConsoleMode error or simply does not react on key events. It does not work with or without cygwin and also I tried an rxvt windows, but did not help. I do not have X on windows, but this app should work on solaris, linux using any terminal emulator as well (xterm, dtterm, gnome-terminal...)

do you have any idea how can I solve it?

On CPAN for any module you can follow a link to view the automated test reports. The page for Term::Pager is here. Looks like it has worked on Win32 recently and has no bugs reported. You shouldn't need X for this.

What version of Windows are you on and what version of Perl?

Also, try posting the same qn over at perlmonks.org; its where all the Perl gurus hang out, inc the guys who write the books
Might also be worth contacting the author (see link at bottom of CPAN page)

Windows Server 2008 R2 and perl, v5.8.6 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread. probably it is a termcap conflict problem....
