X windows like term...thingy...


I have a school issued laptop. So I can't install linux, but would like to work on my home machines. I wanted to know if there is a X windows like term. I have Internet at both home and school. I realize I can us SSH, but sometime everyone likes a little graphical interface everyone once in a while.

vnc (or vnc over ssh) will work great for ya.... may be a bit of a hassle to set up though. There are lots of howto's in these forums and elswhere.

Yes, indeed. It's even possible to tunnel X 'through' ssh.
