Open source web-based calendar?

Hi,

As a principle, i don't use Google services, so Google calendar is not an option. What I'm looking for is an (preferably) open source web based calendar. My ownCloud instance at my provider can't send calendar invites to non-ownCloud users, and my e-mail provider doesn't offer a calendar. Do you know of any other calendar providers? Thank you.

If you use Thunderbird (with Lightning calendar) it can connect to your ownCloud calendar and send/receive invites.

edit: Also via your phone CalDAV client.

Hi,

Thanks for a quick answer. Tried that yesterday, but it seems i can't use it completely separately, and i don't want to use a client for e-mail, as i prefer the webmail. That's why I'm looking for something web based. But will have to switch to thunderbird if there's no choice.

Thanks.

Hi...

Take a look at this article, it offers some programs that might be good alternatives. You can also look through my Google search here.

Regards...
