I have a Samsung A707 flip cell phone (its about 5 years old) and I was wondering if I could install Open Office on it?
The cell phone does not have a internet connection but my laptop does. Is this task possible?
There is an application 'Samsung PC Studio' that I use from time to time to drag and drop photo's off the phone and put them on my PC but I'm not sure if this app has capabilities to install-
Based on this description on Wikipedia, I suspect that installing Open Office or any other full-fledge computer application is not possible on this device. It appears to be a "feature phone" with some java capabilities, not a "smartphone" in any sense of the term.

That's a little disappointing; but I appreciate the truth. If this was your situation what would you do?
Frankly, I don't see very good prospects for getting an office suite on that hardware unless you can find one specifically for that OS. And it really doesn't look as if it has the resources.
Bluntly, I would see if there were somewhere I could recycle the phone, perhaps to a service that takes old cell phones and provides them to veterans or victims of spousal abuse.
Maybe we'll get lucky and someone who knows more about that phone will come along with some suggestions.
