I want to upgrade the RH linux kernel to kernel 2.4.21-9 from 2.4.21-4 , I have tried to find it at kernel.org , but seems only find the src kernel file , is this old kernel still can download on the net ? could advise where can download the binary kernel file ? or can I download the patch to upgrade it ? thx
RedHat kernel (and most distribution kernel) are a bit special, in the way you can't find it on kernel.org. It is usally a certain kernel with patch your vendor added to it. In that case, 2.4.21 is probably the same in botyh case but the -9 and -4 number mean RH applied some different patches to them... which mean you could only find this kernel in RH packages nowhere else...
I noticed you posted the same question in the General section. Try to to only post a question once in the forum, it makes it easier for us to help you out with your problem.
