Angry nView problem: second monitor refresh rate

Hi,

I'm pretty new to Linux, but thanks to searching around these forums I've come quite a long way . However, one thing remains that I've been unable to solve no matter what I tried.
I have a GF4 with two monitors connected. The first monitor works fine at 1280x1024 with a proper refreshrate. The second one I put in 1024x768, but it seems I cannot decide what refreshrates to use. When I open my monitor OSD it tells me I have 62.6kHz horizontal and 78Hz vertical. The problem is that I have huge 'shiverings' (sorry, don't know a better word in English) in the image at these rates. Here's the part of my XF86Config file:
Code:
Section "Device"
  BoardName "GeForce4 Ti 4400"
  BusID "1:0:0"
  Driver "nvidia"
  Identifier "Device[0]"
  Option "TwinView"
  Option "MetaModes" "1280x1024,1024x768"
  Option "SecondMonitorHorizSynch" "30-70"
  Option "TwinViewOrientation" "RightOf"
  Option "SecondMonitorVertSynch" "50-160"
  Screen 0
  VendorName "NVidia"
EndSection
Even if I overwrite the synch settings with e.g. "62.6" and "75" for horizontal and vertical respectively, it will still display the 'default' values on my monitor. Should I try the XCinematic way (or what's it called?), or is there another possibility to adjust the rates so I can properly use the darn thing?

Thanks a lot,

Edward.
