Monitor refresh rate problem

I have P-IV 2.40C with Intel 865 GBF having on-board graphics controller and Samgung SyncMaster 773s 17” monitor. I am using Mandrake 10.0 Official.
I cannot set Monitor Refresh rate to 85. When settings are changed through KDE’s interface, refresh rate is shown as 85, but when refresh rate is verified from the Monitor’s menu, it is stated to be 60. When I run Windows, refresh rate is stated as 84.something by the monitor.
Please help.
