I am really new at this Linux Program, first time user, do not know how to write code or work dos very well, how ever, I have built my own computers and been running windows successfully for 7 years without taking my computers to a tech to work on them so I do know something about them. But this stumps me! I need any help I can get!


One time I was able to get LM10 to load to the point of putting on the anti-virus that comes with it when if froze. I assume my down fall in that installation was the fact that I have a KLM switch and was on my other computer at the time since it takes so long to load sometimes that I wanted to use the other computer to search the internet.

Now, no matter what I do, I cannot load LM 8.2 or 10, I have tried both. Either one comes up to the same point, when it gets to the package area, it comes up blank. comes up with the error: base system pakage not selected, but does not give me anything to choose as a package. It partitions the drive and formats it right. After format it comes up with "deplist.ordered mismatch against hdlist files"?! What does that mean?

What have I done wrong?

As I was typing this out, A thought! Should I plug a mouse and a keyboard directly into the machine? could that be the problem? which does not make any sence at all since it recognized the keyboard and mouse!
