OK.
The "ns-2.29-nist-mob-022707.tgz" code requires gcc/g++ version 4.1.2 on some OS,
and version 3.4.6 with some other OS. For Cygwin it's : Don't know.
I have installed successfully nist mobility package in ns-2.29 and have it in vmware in one file that I can send it to you. You can simulate in XP with opening vmware. You can find me at kire_jakimoski@yahoo.com
sorry for using "text speak " ...
i use 32bits (i686) OS
I have installed nist mobility package in ubuntu, but inside vmware, and you can run it from windows, It is easy to send you the whole file at once.
Just write me at kire_jakimoski@yahoo.com
I can give you the file installed and patched with advanced vertical handover decisions and a lot of scenarios with more than one terminal node. Write me on kire_jakimoski@yahoo.com to settle how to transfer the simulator to you.

"gcc-3.4.4 / g++-3.4.4" should do OK, with some OS. Not much difference from 4.1.2.
Which OS are you using now ? ? ( CentOS 6.5 has "gcc / g++ version 3.4.6".)
* There is no gcc-3.4.4 available for any contemporary Linux OS's,
.. is "3.4.4" a typo ?
... And it looks like you are using an old version of Cygwin.
Anyway, it doesn't work with the ns-2.29-nist-mob-022707 build.
* Important : "ns-2.29-nist-mob-022707" is the old version.
* Latest is `prerelease041707.tgz', for ns-2.31. See post #31 here .. http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...924/page3.html
.. The Cygwin build will be :
$ cd ns-allinone-2.31/
$ tar xvf wimax-pre041707-ns231-patching.tar.bz2
$ ./install
The question is, why are you using Cygwin, when it is so much easier
with a regular Linux OS ? → → → On a spare hard disk, or in VirtualBox.
I have installed it in vmware in ubuntu and I work in windows in this way. I have patched also successfully PMIPv6 protocol on it. If you want more instructions write on kire_jakimoski@yahoo.com
