checking for GTK+ - version >= 2.0.0... no
*** Could not run GTK+ test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GTK+ is incorrectly installed.

Is there a specific reason you are compiling this yourself?

I'd give URPMI a shot if you're stuck...(I'm sorry, I don't know Nicotine itself...but I'm thinking it might be available in a repository somewhere, I know pyGTK is)
