I just installed Nicotine 1.0.8rc1 on my Mandrake 10 box, and the first 4 options under the File menu are disabled ("connect/disconnect etc."). Any idea if there's something else I need to set up before I can connect?
I'd have posted this in a Nicotine forum but I couldn't find one. Any help is appreciated!
Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to make a difference, and the options are still greyed out. It looks similar to the problem presented here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...light=nicotine for which there doesn't appear to be a resolution.
It's definitely not the username. I just tried Bulliverxx20o4 and got the same result. I'm going to try running it as root as that seemed to help the originator of the thread I posted above.
eh? root? I don't see how that could make a difference. Here's another thought...did you set up your shares? It might not let you connect without those.
