Netwcape Plugin craze

Hey all,

I haven't ever really messed with my browsers at all in linux. Never needed to. Anyhow, since I've been toying with updates left and right, it seems I'm having a bit of trouble with netscape plugins.

One inparticular is the x-java-vm plugin.
It automatically pops up with a window telling me I need the plugin. So I dl'd it.
However, what I dl'd was the j2sdk from SUN's site. I proceeded with the install via the instructions but still don't see it helping as the message telling me I need the x-java-vm plugin persists.

Im running slack9.0 full install. Haven't changed much on the system at all so all is basically basic.

Anyhow, I've looked on the all mighty Google and come across several pages but none in depth to this.

Thanks.

Did you link the plugin to your Netscape plugins directory?
