Nautilus Text View Error In Mandrake 9.1

Just recently migrated to Mandrake 9.1 from MDK 9.0. I performed a clean install (reformatted the whole linux partition and increased it's size).... But now there seems to be a problem... Concerning nautilus that is. When I click a text file (mime type : text/plain), nautilus will try and load it... but then it just dies and the nautilus viewer is shaded grey. I get this error message :

"The Text view encountered an error and can't continue. You can choose another view or go to a different location."

I've tried a few things, like uninstalling then reinstalling nautilus from MDK 9.1 CD and even from MDK 9.0 CD (doesn't make much difference since it's the same version). Search online painfully using every possible keyword i could think of but to no avail....

Help ? PLEASE.......
