Nautilus preferences GUI

I'm running garnome 0.27.1 with gnome 2.4.0

Sometimes three of the four tabs in nautilus preferences (the ones on the right: Behavior, Icon Caption & Preview) are shaded. I can enter them clicking on the tab, but all the options are shaded.

So far this behavior seems to be random. Sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't.

Actually right now I've just killed the nautilus processes running in the background (managing the desktop I guess) and after it respawns itself the tabs in the preferences GUI are just fine.

I had a look in bugzilla but couldn't find anything about shaded options in nautilus preferences.

Does anybody know any way to fix this other than brute force (killing nautilus)?
