my xmms wont play
why did my xmms on my linux redhat9 system wont play the audio file? i try to run my mp3 files but its appears a message that explain the software cant do the project, and says for the end, sorry for this inconfenient. i dont understand, somebody please help me !!

This is a shot in the dark, but I don't think redhat 9 comes with mp3 support for xmms by default. You have to install an rpm in order to xmms to play mp3s. I think this could be the reason for your trouble because I know I did this. You might want to swing on over and look for that rpm for redhat9 and install it. You can always take it off it if doesn't work with the rpm -e ...

Due to licensing issues, mp3 support was left out of RedHat. You can download the rpm that will fix this issue here.
