I think I did something to pkg-config when I was trying to get panda going.
Keep in mind I can't see anything I type anywhere, just saving and uploading that picture took a good 20-25 minutes haha.
( I don't know why, but for some reason I can never get anything from tinypic. The connection to the image never goes through. It's not blocked by noscript or adblock or anything, and it fails in all the browsers I've tried. I can ping the address and it responds though, if slowly. It must be something upstream from me. Strange. )
Anyway, I really just wanted to point out that you can also upload an image here as an attachment and use that in your post. I can see those.
It looks like you have lost your default desktop font, or reconfigured your computer to use one that doesn't exist. Do you get the blocks on the log-in screen too? I saw exactly the same thing when testing a distro recently.
You need to tell us what distro and desktop you are using to be sure of the problem and its solution.

Hi, yes it shows in the log-in screen too.
I'm currently running Ubuntu 10.4. I have it running on wubi (i think it's called) so that I can switch from Windows to Linux.
As for the distro I don't know how or where to achieve that information. The problem is I can't really poke around for the information either because, well, I can't read block. Do you know where I can find the distro, or what I can type in to the terminal to get it? If i do that I'm just going to copy the entire terminal and paste it into a browser so I can read it.

It says that the [img] code is blocked. Is there another way for me to post it?
Thanks
In the advanced editing screen, you're given the option to upload an image or other file to your personal attachment storage area, and include it in your post.
If you're using Ubuntu, then presumably you have the Unity desktop, of which I know nothing! A quick search shows it's just a layer on top of Gnome 3, so try this. Delete ~/.config/dconf and then restart Ubuntu. If you can't do that from Windows (I know even less about that that Unity), then start Ubuntu and when you get the log-in screen press Ctrl-Alt-F2 to get a text login and do "rm $HOME/.config/dconf". Then reboot.
Hi thanks for your replies.
I've found out i can get to the terminal through "recovery mode" so i can finally see what im doing.
I'm assuming i removed the file or changed the file that tells the OS where the fonts are, or I deleted the fonts completely(which i doubt)
I'm going to try to replace that file, hopefully that will work.
If not I'm gunna have to reboot my Ubuntu!
Thanks for your help!
